I’m urgently reaching out to ask for support, in this fundraising effort to help my brother and his family, as my beautiful 22 year-old niece Lindsay Fortin just got the devastating news that she has Leukemia.
I’m urgently reaching out to ask for support, in this fundraising effort to help my brother and his family, as my beautiful 22 year-old niece Lindsay Fortin just got the devastating news that she has Leukemia.
Lindsay’s in her final year of college at the University of Buffalo with studies in the medical field where her passion is to one-day help others. She is the kindest, sweetest young lady ever, with a smile that lights up a room…she has her whole life ahead of her, so many hopes and dreams, and we are not going to let Leukemia take that from her!
Lindsay is at a cancer center in Buffalo, NY where she will be for quite some time, undergoing chemotherapy, radiation therapy and all the other ugly things that go along with this devastating journey.
Her family (mom, dad, brother and extended family) all live in Middletown, NY which is a 5-6 hour driving distance. In order for Lindsay to have her mom and dad by her side during this most horrific journey, they must take time away from work. My brother has his own home improvement business and without working there is no income. And as any parent would be, Ken and Chele will be by their daughter's side at any expense... their hearts can be nowhere else, and the love of family – especially mom and dad by her side during the scariest of time of Lindsay’s young life is what will contribute sooo much to her abiltiy to get through the months ahead and beat Leukemia.
Leukemia is such a very complicated Cancer, and I'm asking for help in alleviating at least some of Lindsay's mom and dad's financial pressure so that the focus can be completely on their precious daughter as she literally fights for her life.
The contributions gathered will be used towards medical bills, monthly cost of living expenses so that Ken and Michele can be by her side, lodging expenses and travel, and to help cover Lindsay’s monthly bills as she will be unable to work for quite some time.
Thank you in advance, from the bottom of my heart, for any contribution you can make to support Lindsay and her family through this horrific time. This is a good wholesome hardworking family....my heart is deeply saddened.....cancer sucks....the fear is real.
I’d also like to humbly ask if you will share this with friends and family who may wish to contribute (any amount at all will help). I know I try to pay-forward my blessings as often as possible and I’m sure others believe in doing the same.
Many prayers for Lindsay and may God bless each and every one of you.
With love, hope, prayer and sincerity,
