Lindsay's story, on behalf of his children Chas and Alex,

On Monday September 1st our fathers health took a very serious turn. What went from a fall on Sunday morning due to low blood sugars quickly turned into needing emergency life saving surgery in Moncton, NB. Our father endured a major surgery on Tuesday evening to remove 2.3 meters of his bowel and will undergo another surgery when his body is more stable. They have our father on ventilation, IV's, pain medicine and he is resting to aid his body in healing.

This emergency progressed very quickly and we are forever grateful we made it to Moncton on time. As with most emergencies, nobody can prepare for when they may happen. Our father, as many would know is the most generous, down to earth, selfless and considerate man out there, he would give the shirt off his back to anyone. Our father is always one to carry financial stress and it is my brother and I's wish to reduce that stress for him once he leaves the hospital. The ICU nurses/doctors estimate he will endure approximately 2 weeks of medical stay in Moncton and will need 3-4 months additional recovery time back home in PEI.

My brother and I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to lift this stress off our father's shoulders. Thank you for reading our message
