Lindsay & Jeff's Apsley Acres Animal Sanctuary Fire

I'm setting up this page for my parents, they have lost almost everything in an electrical fire. I believe they and their animals, could use a bit of help to get their lives back on track. They were living off-grid, just outside Apsley with the intention of opening up an animal sanctuary on their newly acquired property. They had two trailers, one for their two dogs and cat and the other for the five pigs they considered family. A power surge from one of the generators combined with a faulty wire in the pig trailer and everything was gone. My dad noticed the fire & tried to rescue the pigs and thankfully was able to save three before it was too late,

with the speed at which the spread there was little that could be done. Their neighbour a volunteer firefighter practically dragged him out as he was concerned the propane tanks would blow. One pig had to be euthanized her injuries were too severe & my dad suffered burns and smoke inhalation. We are hoping to raise money to replace what was lost and put them back on track to open Apsley Acres Animal Sanctuary, they have a temporary place for their dogs and the remaining pigs are with animal services. Once they get a generator and some form of shelter they just want to get their animals home and safe. after settling any remaining funds will be directed to animal care and permits necessary to set things up further.
