Lindsay Hutchings Cancer Treatment Fund

In November of last year, Lindsay started feeling sick and was told that she had a really bad sinus infection; however, none of medications she was prescribed were having any effect.  Eventually, she was referred to an ear, nose and throat specialist. The specialist found that her sinuses were clear, but wanted her to get a CT scan of her neck and chest due to some severe swelling she had been experiencing.  Lindsay got the CT scan the week before Christmas.  Due to the holidays, it took almost two weeks to get the results.  At the beginning of January, we were notified that the scan of her chest showed a large mass (larger than 4 inches in diameter) in the mediastinal cavity (the area around the lungs, esophagus, heart, etc.).  In January, she had two biopsies and a PET scan that eventually led to her diagnosis of Stage 2 Hodgkin's Lymphoma.  The doctors are confident this is highly treatable, and fully expect her to be cured.

Over the next few months, she will be undergoing chemotherapy and possibly raditation treatment.  The funds you donate will help to pay for the medical and travel costs, as well as assisting with everyday expenses since I (Jacob) will not be able to work full-time during her treatment.
