Lindsay Derksen

Hi. My name is Shelley, and I am fundraising to help Lindsay Derksen go to school.

Lindsay Derksen is a survivor. She has survived childhood sexual abuse and has come a long way. Through it all, she has always been there for her friends and family. But she has paid a terrible price. The consequences of childhood abuse have been debilitating mental illness. Her mental illness has made it impossible for her to hold a job or save money. Her family has been there to support her financially, but now, after reaching a place in her treatment where she could break the silence, she is ready to plan for a future for herself and her daughter Emily. She is considering going to school. Her tuition will be covered, but she could use help to cover other expenses like her books and help with ongoing medical costs so that she can be in a healthy place to go to school. I want to ask you for your help. Having a little bit of money will give Lindsay the confidence she needs so that she can have a future where she can look after herself and Emily. My goal is to raise $2,500 to pay for books and medication costs while Lindsay attends school. Do you think you could help?
