Lindsay, Aubrey, Bear & Ollie
Donation protected
Lindsay, her daughter Aubrey and their dogs Bear and Ollie were all affected by the aftermath of the most recent events of Hurricane Ian. Although Lindsay has made contact with her insurance company she has yet to hear back from her adjuster. So far, it has yet to be determined if the damages incurred from the hurricane will be covered by her insurance. In the event her insurance does cover her damages, it comes with a hefty deductible, in the amount of $4,700.
That being said, Lindsay is regrettably being denied any sort of assistance from FEMA. The damages include that of her water well pump being destroyed, potential damage to her roof caused by a fallen tree as well as water and/or mold damage from water intrusion. She has also lost wages from being out of work, lost all of her perishable food and exhausted any savings.
Also, personal outdoor property has been damaged but this doesn’t seem to be of great concern at the moment. Power issues are yet to be resolved and it has been hearsay that power outages to Lindsay and her community will be restored no later than Friday, October 10, 2022.
Please consider opening up your heart by making a donation to Lindsay, her daughter Aubrey and their dogs Bear and Ollie during this challenging time. It is so deeply appreciated.
To add to the stress and financial burden, sweet Ollie got off his leash on Wednesday and ran full speed through the front yard. He was unsuccessful in jumping over a large boulder and instantly shattered his leg.
He is currently at the only emergency vet that was operating due to the storm damage and is under heavy sedation. As of now it appears his reconstructve surgery will cost $6,000. The alternatives were amputation or putting him down. He is a member of this family and very loved.
