My name is O'Neill Trull. I am 46 years old, a husband, and a father of 4. I was recently diagnosed with a Traumatic Brain Injury. This diagnosis connected a lot of dots for me in regard to my difficulty with work, relationships, finances, and leading my family. Most likely I have had this since childhood due to hypoxia and toxicity. I have also battled severe anxiety and depression, poor sleep, memory issues (which have progressively gotten worse), and impulse control. All of these combined have made life quite difficult, and at times, near impossible for me.

In January of this year, I began working with Dr. Wes Center at Burleson Brain and Behavior Associates. After genetic testing, labwork, a thorough medical history, a Quantitative EEG (qEEG) and a complete a series of cognitive function tests. The data showed that I have significant ADHD as well as a Traumatic Brain Injury. The cognitive function tests indicated that my memory is well below normal as well as my social acuity, which is the ability to interpret body language.

Dr. Center specializes in traumatic brain injury. He has laid out a plan of treatment that includes supplements, 6 months of Neurofeedback, Hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and red light therapy by way of a helmet. All of these treatments combined will cost approximately $8,500-$9,000.00, none of which is covered by insurance.

I have chosen to undergo these therapies because I want to be at my best for my family and those that I love. For most of my life, I have felt that I underachieved in regards to what I was capable of. I have felt that my brain was somehow locked or trapped and unable to meet its full potential. Work has become increasingly difficult for me as well. I want to live the life God has intended for me, and these therapies are a major piece of that puzzle. I have a lot of dreams and plans that I have never been able to actualize, and now I know why.

I began neurofeedback in late January, I am seeing improvement in the areas of sustained energy, focus, and increased awareness. The hyperbaric chamber and red light helmet will be crucial to repair damage to my brain.
