This gofundme is regarding my mom, Linda Van Sickle. We are hoping to raise enough to cover the cost of mom's hospital care, funeral costs and other medical expenses.
For those of you who don't know:
On Friday, May 31st, my Mom was admitted to St. Francis Hospital. Upon admission, it was discovered that she had a mass the size of a volleyball in her pelvic region, as well as many spots throughout her body. The discovery led to a terminal diagnosis. If you don't know my Mom, she hardly complains. Growing up, she would work very hard around the house and at work to make sure that my brother, my dad, and I were well taken care of. She would give her last dollar to make someone happy. You would never hear her complain about anything. The reason I mention this is that most recently, when we would call or come see her, she would act like nothing was wrong, even though she was going through horrible pain. My Dad would take her to doctor and they couldn't find anything wrong with her.
Last week, my Mom was moved into Hospice care. We are hoping to make her last days as comfortable and as pain free as possible. She cannot move her legs without feeling pain and has been bed-ridden since her admission on May 31st. My parents don't have a lot of money and it has been very hard for them to pay for the medical bills and my Dad doesn't have any funds to handle funeral costs.
