Hi! I am Misha, Linda and Michael Wood's oldest daughter.

While the outpouring of love and support so far has far surpassed any expectations, I know that the upcoming months are about to be extremely trying on my parents in many ways. Linda, while private about many of the details, has struggled with heart issues for many years. Over the past 5 years she has had many surgeries to work on and even to replace her mitral valve. At this time she will be heading in for her 3rd complete replacement. This surgery is incredibly risky as it will be open heart surgery, and she has had previous repairs already. This poses a huge financial burden for my parents as both of them will be flying out of state to see a surgeon who specializes in these cases. This is requiring them to put their only source of income on hold completely as they are self-employed.

Linda and Michael have been active in their community and have offered support to many in their times of need. I remember vividly them driving injured and sick friends to the hospital, preparing food, and even sitting through tears and grief of the loss of family members. I want to offer this back to them by helping to alleviate the main point of stress right now which is the medical bills, cost of travel, food, and lodging while out of state. When they return there will still be many medical bills and many days of lost income as my dad, Michael, is the main caretaker for her. These bills will include all typical living expenses. If I can help to get a dent made in this for them I would love to provide that.
