Hi my name is Jennifer. My mom, Linda, found out her breast cancer had returned a few weeks ago.
Mom has breast cancer in 2017 and has been in remission after getting chemo and radiation.
This past August she noticed a lump in her armpit. She went to her oncologist eventually she got the biopsy in September. Early October she found out she had metastatic breast cancer and has spread to the lymph nodes. She reluctantly told me toward the end of the month.
I visited her with my son the following week for the weekend. We hung out and spent time together.
Leaving her was really hard- I thought she was going to get chemo.
she ended up going to Lakewood Regional Hospital while her sister was visiting. She was having trouble breathing. At this point we knew she had a tumor in her chest and her lymph nodes were swollen. My mom was in the hospital for a few days and got released last Sunday on oxygen and antibiotics as she has pneumonia. My dad took care of her at home until she wasn’t breathing well any longer on oxygen. She got transferred to the ICU at Memorial and placed on a vent and sedated.
We have high hopes for my mom. I love her with all my heart.
Any help is greatly appreciated and will be used for medical care/ medical bills/ time caring for my lovely mother while off work.
