TRANSPLANT RECOVERY UPDATE:

On Saturday 4/12 (Passover), Linda underwent a very successful kidney transplant operation, and the kidney started working immediately. THANKS BE TO GOD!

She was discharged last week from the hospital to the rental house where she will stay and continue to be monitored for several weeks near UTMC.

Phil has his hands full managing her care, medications and meals.

Dr. Rees reports Linda is “doing about as expected with a few bumps along the way” and that labs are good, and that they are still hopeful she will avoid dialysis as the kidney continues to heal.

She did not, in fact, suffer a heart attack (good news), but rather an injury to her heart that the cardiologist is continuing to monitor.

Linda’s medical team

Complete healing of her kidney and no rejection

Complete healing of her infection

Wisdom for the cardiologist to know how to move forward
