Hi friends,
Linda’s final wishes was that Sammie Joe be safe from going to the pound to be euthanized and to make sure he would have his "furever" home.
Sammie Joe's first foster noticed he had some discomfort and overall was not feeling well, so she took him to the vet on Sept. 6. After many x-rays and diagnostics, the results were inconclusive. The small mass that was found was either a slight pneumonia or cancer of the lungs. Our main task was to get Sammie Joe to the new foster and put him on watch while he's on the heavy antibiotics and rest.
We transported Sammie Joe to his new foster home successfully, with his new food and his meds to Houston yesterday (09/06) and we're praying that very soon we can transfer him to his new “furever” home.
The funds will be used to cover the vet bill. We have gone over the initial goal, & I will apply the extra funds to cover the transportation, and some will go for Sammie Joe's future vet bills, so we will be able to have a second opinion which will happen very soon, if the prognosis is not pneumonia.
I want to thank each and every one of you so very much for your support and for helping us grant Linda’s final wish to take care of her beloved Sammie Joe.
