If you know me, you know MG. It has been 7 years of battling this disease, but these last 2 have been like none other. I am stuck in this phase where my speech, swallow, and breathing are affected. We were hoping that Vyvgart would be the magical meds and clear it up. That is not the case. We are in the midsts of throwing all that we can at this disease and nothing seems to be getting me back to my baseline. I have had to end my career due to this illness. The financial stress this has put us under has been quite worrisome. We thought for sure I would qualify for disability. Turns out teachers don’t pay into social security so that was a no go. I am able to pull my TRS retirement but that is still getting worked on. B has taken on a second job but we are now at the bottom of our barrel. We have been able to make it this far thanks to the generosity of others and God’s provision. I ask that you please share our story and if you can, donate to our medical bill fund. I go through multiple infusions at big Baylor and my neurologist’s clinic. I see specialists and have constant doctor appointments. My health can’t afford for me to miss any of these treatments and our funds are gone. This disease is merciless and can go from zero to deadly within seconds.
