Linda's Journey: Overcoming Cancer Together

To our friends and family,

As many of you know our mom, Linda Thimesch, was diagnosed with stage four metastatic stomach and bone cancer in December of 2021. She has been fighting so bravely these last three years, surpassing her original prognosis of only surviving 12 months. The outpouring of love and support for our mother has been overwhelming and we’re so grateful to our amazing friends and extended family who have shown up and helped her get through these past thirty-six months in innumerable ways.

After the last three years, medical bills have been piling up- from the cost of medication compiled with her recent diagnosis of a stroke in her right eye that has seriously diminished her vision, Linda needs specialized prism lenses to see without experiencing debilitating migraines. Her health insurance does not cover the glasses and we’re trying to raise the extra funds to purchase. She is going to resume chemotherapy treatment in the upcoming weeks, and with her limited health insurance, any assistance from our friends and family would be greatly appreciated. We’re aware that with the current economic climate, it isn’t possible for everyone to donate, but any help is appreciated more than you’ll ever know. It has been heartbreaking watching our mom go through chemotherapy what with the sickness, pain, infections, and hospitalizations, but for her to be stressed about finances while overcoming these medical hurdles is a whole new pain we have only just started to experience.
