Linda Koppelman is a dedicated mother, wife, grandma, and employee of Bigfork Valley Hospital. After getting through the already tremendously difficult 2020, at the very end of the year Linda found out she would be facing another challenging year ahead when she was diagnosed with breast cancer for the second time.
The first go around was in February of 2016, she went through 4 rounds of chemotherapy treatments and after radiation Linda was cancer free as of August 2016.
Now Linda is faced with a stronger form of breast cancer that requires a much stronger chemotherapy regimen. Linda's treatment regimen this go around is 8 weeks of chemotherapy every other week, with scans to make sure the tumor is shrinking followed by 12 weeks of EVERY week chemotherapy all before she can have surgery to remove the cancer. This timeline may be extended depending on her process but we pray for a shorter course.
We are asking for funds to help Linda afford to travel to Grand Rapids for her treatments, help put money towards her high deductible plan, and give her ease of mind in affording to take time off to recover from her treatments and affording medication to help with treatments.
This goal is just a start. Linda has dedicated her life to helping others by working for Bigfork Valley and I pray that as a community we can come together to support Linda through this difficult time. If you cannot give monetary support donating PTO would give Linda time to recover from her therapies and make life so much easier.
Please considering donating to our cause, and helping make this time less difficult for Linda and her family.
