In the fall of 2007 I met a very remarkable person, Bridget Buttery, who has since been one of my best friends.  It is very rare you find someone who is as selfless and caring as she is - always giving to others and putting herself last.  This is especially evident in the last three years of her life.

In August 2014, Bridget's mother, Linda Buttery, was diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast Cancer.  She underwent 16 Chemo treatments from October 2014 - May 2015. From May 2015 - June 2015 Linda received 30 radiation treatments.  Bridget never left her mother's side, earned extra money to help her mother with bills while her mother was unable to work, all while maintaining her own bills and trying to build a foundation for her own life and marriage.

In September 2015 Bridget's sister, Marisa, gave birth to her first son, and Linda's first grandson, Jude.   Bridget has been very involved in making sure Jude and Marisa have the support they need for a positive future.

In October 2015, Bridget married her husband Trent, and the two exhausted their personal resources to have the wedding she always dreamed of having.

In May 2016 Linda was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer with Metastasis to her brain.  Eight small tumors were found and 2 large tumors. She is currently in radiation and facing chemo again and additional surgeries.  We aren't sure of the direction that her treatment will go after she finishes her radiation.  There is no cure for Stage 4 cancer, only treatment and trying to stay ahead of the cancer for the rest of your life, while maintaining your qualify of life.

Linda's request for her doctors is that she wants to live to see her grandson get raised.  Bridget, her mother, and her family are fighters.  They persevere through any battle they endure.  My goal is to see that they no longer have to fight this alone.  I need your help in raising $1,500 to help offset the costs of Linda's medical expenses.  While any gift amount will be accepted, please consider sponsoring the following expenses:

Linda said that God told her everything will be okay, and I believe that with all my heart.  God also put it on my heart to begin this campaign for my friend and her family, so I am confident that your contributions are part of something far greater than we can imagine.
