Linda's Journey Living With Metastatic Cancer
Donation protected
Linda Robichaud Johnston,
A woman of extraordinary courage and perseverance. Last year at this time her hip spontaneously broke. Later we learned her breast cancer that she had more than 10 years ago returned with a vengeance and had metastasized through her entire skeletal system. Stage 4 breast cancer, no cure. She began a regimen of recommended targeted treatment that unfortunately failed. Radiation and bone enhancers commenced.
Next step, chemotherapy which leaves a person exhausted and sick much of the time. It is however her lifeline to keeping herself here on earth because stage 4 cancer is always terminal. Those are such difficult words to hear and process. Linda is a beautiful person, inside and out. She is often the sunshine in other's cloudy days inspite of her own situation. She gives everyday 100 percent of what she can. This diagnosis has left so many uncertainties for her. Especially because she was the primary wage earner in her household. Linda, along with her husband Wayne, has cared for her aging parents over the past several years and they are the sole providers to their beloved grandson, Noah, since his birth 9 years ago. Sadly, Wayne has a debilitating illness for which their is no cure, as well.
The greatest concerns on a daily basis are financial ones and planning for Noah's future as he grows up. I hope anyone who is able can make a donation to help make everyday life a little easier for their family. I can be contacted through messenger for her address and phone number if you'd like to call or send a card to brighten her day. Maybe send a gift card if you can't donate via GoFundMe. I know that every gesture will be greatly appreciated in these uncertain times and help them in planning a future for Noah. "The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen, nor heard, nor touched, just felt deeply within the heart" ♡
