Linda Thuringer Fund

As many of you know, Linda was diagnosed with Cirrosis of the Liver back in July and than in August she was diagnosed with Calciphylaxis. Calciphylaxis,  is a syndrome of calcification of the blood vessels, blood clots, and skin necrosis. It results in chronic non-healing wounds and is usually fatal.  It took the doctors awhile to figure out exactly what was going on and what the diagnosis was.
Since all of this started, Linda has been in and out of the hospital numerous times and now has been back in the hospital since the day before Thanksgiving.  She did have nurses coming to her home 3 times a week to do wound care and myself and her sister Teri have been there pretty much everyday helping her as well. This last time, she was sent in because they were having problems accessing her port in her chest that she was getting infusions thru at home and they thought one of her wounds had become infected so they wanted her admitted right away.  She has struggled since day one to get her pain under control and 2 days ago they finally switched her over too Dilaudid instead of Oxycontin and that seemed to make a huge difference. She is not complaing about pain at all anymore.
However,  since yesterday she is not making much since at times. She see's people who aren't there or she thinks people were there who weren't. I must say, she is smiling and laughing now that she has no pain which is great to see but it is so hard to see her as confused as she is and not making sense at times.  Her ammonia levels are back up, she does have an infection and her kidney's are not doing that well. The doctor's are all meeting tomorrow morning to assess her and than we will be having a family meeting to see what goes on from here.
They have been trying to find a TCU for her to go to but they are not having any luck with that which may mean that she might come home but she will need 24 hour care.  I did sign her up for insurance through the county when this all started but right now they are only approving her for 22 hours a week of PCA care which will not cover 24 hour care she may need with a nurse. 
I'm sure most of you know that Linda was a full time daycare provider for over 14 years before any of this started and when she became sick, she had to close her daycare which meant all of her income stopped. Yes, Danny is still working but with winter coming his hours will be cut way back  and he is already struggling a bit with just one income, which isn't much.  I have been thinking about setting this up for awhile now and after talking to a few others, I was urged to set this up for them.  I have no idea how much to set the goal at but I know if she needs 24 hour at home care, that will add up quickly.
The money that was in savings and what not is now gone and the bills are starting to come in since they had to move in September when she was in the hospital. I am asking for help for them which will go towards any medical bills that her insurance doesn't cover or care she may need, living expenses, bills and possible funeral expenses if that should occur.  I know that this is a lot to ask from people, especially around the holiday's.
