Hi, my name is Angi Moore, my family needs some help, please read this and donate and share if it’s possible.
My Mother-in-law Linda Peterson is very ill, she is in liver failure and in need of a liver transplant. Linda lives in northern Arkansas with her husband Jon. Linda is not a drinker and does not have hepatitis,
which are two of the most common causes of liver failure. However, she is a breast cancer survivor. Linda was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2009. She beat it and has been cancer free for 8 years!
Regrettably, we believe the chemo therapy treatment could have caused the damage to her liver. She has spent the last year repeatedly, now on a weekly basis, getting fluid drained from her stomach and
around her lungs where it builds up due to the liver not doing its job. Her condition and the repeated fluid draining is painful, exhausting and led to her having to quit her job.
She had been taking care of a disabled woman with whom she had become very close. Linda has spent her life taking care of others. She has a degree in Social Science, and spent her career working with people with
developmental disabilities. She spent time working in group homes, managing group homes and coordinating care for physically and mentally disabled people. In addition, Linda has always been available to family and friends in need. On numerous occasions she allowed her sister and nieces to live with her and her family when they were in need.
Linda also raised three children: Angela, Howard, and Beth. Angela is pursuing a degree to become a Nurse Practitioner, and has 4 children and a grandchild. Howard is a Lt Col in the US Air Force, and also has 4 children, Beth just started college to pursue a degree in Physical Therapy.

Howard had already been granted permission from the Air Force to donate a portion of his liver to his mom, and everything looked like it was moving forward. Unfortunately, his blood type is not a match and neither are his sisters’ types a match.
*Update* I just learned that my blood type is a match for Linda, so I am starting the testing process!
The good news is, that Linda has been approved to be put on the liver transplant recipient list at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. So, there is hope. In order to be allowed on the list, she must be able to get from her home to the hospital within six hours. Drive time from her home in Arkansas is well over six. So, we are looking into the cost of on-demand flights from her home airport or moving her to Nebraska.
Meanwhile the medical bills, and travel expenses (from going to Nebraska for testing) are pilling up. She has insurance, but it doesn’t cover enough, and she is too ill to work. Any money raised would go towards her travel and hotel expenses for hospital visits, after transplant care, and medication (right now it doesn’t look like the medicine she needs after the transplant is covered by insurance at all!) Any amount would help.
Please help someone who has spent so many of her years helping others. Thank you for reading and even if you can’t donate please share!
