Hello Everyone! As we approach my mom's 3 year freedom anniversary my sister's and I have decided to get our mom a final resting place. We are going go get a niche space for her at Mount Olivet cemetery in Frederick Maryland (the link mount olivet is below). It is a beautiful and peaceful cemetery that she always found to be serene. The total cost for the space, granite front, bronze plaque and ring for a vase for flowers is just under $3000. This cost is for the main original mausoleum for an outside space.
I understand there may be some confusion as to why we waited so long to do this. As you may know our mom - Linda Morris was terminally ill and was unable to work for the last few years of her life. My sisters and I decided 3 years ago that the best use of her final income was to have the memorial service for her. We were not beneficiaries on her life insurance and at that time my sisters and I were each at a point where we were trying to better ourselves financially. Please also understand that it took us a few years to come to this as the final agreement of what we each thought she would want. We wanted to reach out to each one of you not only for possible financial support, but also to keep each one of you in the know for our decision. We know our mom Linda Morris touched a great many lives - she had a ton of friends and her family is huge! Even if you are unable to help financially, we wanted to make sure everyone knew what was going on so that if you wanted to pay her a visit in the near future you could. Hopefully she will still bring a smile to your face in this way.
If the goal of $3000 is exceeded the remaining funds will be put towards a charity that is to be determined at a later date. We appreciate everyone's support & thank you for taking the time to read this!
