On June 27th, around 4:30 am, Linda was on her way to work when she came upon a wrecked vehicle blocking one lane and a pedestrian standing in the road. She parked on the shoulder further down Route 81 North to assist; when she got back in her car to call 911, a Tractor-trailer hit her.

Linda is now in the hospital with 5 broken ribs, a broken clavicle and fractured scapula on her left side, a broken humerus and dislocated shoulder on the right side, a broken nose, and multiple fractured thoracic vertebras, and fluid in her lungs. There was bleeding in her brain, which has since subsided. She is scheduled for surgery later this week to have plates and screws placed to fix her broken clavicle and humerus and put her shoulder back in place.

Although she keeps her spirits up and has the hospital staff laughing, she has a long road to recovery ahead. Because she proudly works as a self-employed cleaning lady of multiple commercial properties, she is now out of work without pay.
