With a heavy heart, I am saddened to share some devastating news on behalf of the Gerleman family.  On January 18th, 2019 Linda was found unresponsive by her granddaughter. Linda was rushed to Summer, where it was discovered she had a massive brain bleed. She was taken to Iowa City, where she under went surgery to stop the bleeding. Surgery went as expected, but Linda remains unresponsive . Her children, Justin, Alice, Ashley and Matt, held a meeting with Linda's care team doctors to determine the best way to proceed. They had to make one of the hardest decisions of their lives and have decided to honor and grant Linda's wishes. On Sunday, Linda will spread her wings and we will gain a beautiful, blessed angel.

Linda is one of the most unselfish, loving, caring grandmother, mother, sister, and friend I have ever met. She would help anyone in anyway possible.   In her honor, I feel compelled to do the same. Due to the lack of savings/life insurance, the upcoming costs will be bestowed upon her family.  Just as she would lend a helping hand to anyone, I am asking that we do the same for her and her loved ones. The money raised will be used for memorial and cremation services.  Any funds raised beyond those costs will be used to aid in the immediate family member's incurred expenses during the grieving process.  Any donations are beyond appreciated and will help tremendously.
