Linda Gilbert's Medical and Funeral Assistance
Donation protected
Hello, friends and loved ones. I'm never one to ask for assistance but, as of late my family (mother, stepfather, and myself) don't have many options to explore. As many of you know, my mother has been battling cancer while on home hospice since last April. Since that time I've been her caretaker, having to take time from my work as a performer and EMT. She's been so strong and resilient throughout this entire time. This last December she went completely blind, due to intracranial tumors. Since then she's required around-the-clock care from me or her husband. I'm thankful that she has been covered by Veteran's insurance but, sadly our family did not qualify for any type of caretaking assistance. I've exhausted and gone after every single source for this and we simply do not qualify for any
I know times are very tough for so many of us, so I'm not hoping for much but any little bit would help my stepfather and myself spend these last days with her, as well as hopefully afford some assistance from a qualified professional. Any other funds will be going towards tackling her medical bills, which even with three forms of medical insurance are still astronomical, as well as funeral expenses when my mother passes.
This is so very humbling to resort to but I am bewildered and without options. I will try, slowly but surely, to repay any type of assistance that is lent. Thank you all very much for being in her life and supporting us throughout this. My mother has always been the light of my life and my best friend. If you're fortunate enough to have your momma in your life still, reach out to her and let her know how much she means to you.
