With the recent passing of my grandmother, Linda Gerkey, who for all of my life I called "Nani", we will be donating the funds from this campaign to two organizations. The Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation and The Actors Fund .
The Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation's mission is to find a cure and improve the quality of life for those affected by cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer), which Nani was diagnosed with in May of 2020.
The Actor's Fund fosters stability and resiliency, and provides a safety net for performing arts and entertainment professionals over their lifespan. We are donating half of the funds to this organization per my request, as Nani prided herself on being her only grandson's biggest fan. She wouldn't miss a single show or performance if she could help it, and I know she would be honored that funds donated in her memory will help the theatre community during these uncertain times.
The funds raised here will be split 50/50 between each of these organizations.
