On Friday, June 25th, 2021 our beloved Linda, lost her battle over an unexpected and devastating illness. She spent her last few days at Boston Medical Center fighting bravely, always displaying a stoic smile. In the selfless manner indicative of Linda, this smile was often accompanied by a furrow of concern for those she loved.
Linda took leave from her job as a social worker to care for her husband Steve, as he bravely fought his own battle with cancer. She accompanied him to his treatments, all the while remaining positive. During the time Linda continued to be beside steve, she had an unexpected illness that landed her in SICU. His health and well being was always the first thing she needed to know when her family and friends visited her each day. She was steadfast and steely-eyed and worried about others right up until the end. In her final moments she rested peacefully, enclosed in a fierce circle of love, surrounded and comforted by her husband, her 2 sons, her brand new grandbaby, along with her extended family and friends.
We’ve all learned so very much from Linda, but mostly she taught us about unconditional love and cherish for family and friends. Sadly, her selfless concern for others came at expense to her own health.
We continue to be thankful for all of your love, support, and prayers, but more importantly, Steve has to not only navigate his life without his beloved wife, he has lost half of their family income along with his health benefits as the result of Linda’s death. He is on leave from work to go through chemo treatments in the upcoming months, then will require surgery. Your desperately needed donations to the family for the mounting medical bills and living expenses are most appreciated. The loss of Linda’s income and critical health insurance will be a huge blow to her husband as he navigates this journey without his beloved wife, throughout his upcoming chemotherapy and surgery.
Thank you so much for your support.
