Linda Coates Road to Recovery

Linda has been sick for more than a year now. The doctors continually diagnosed her with severe crohns disease and cdiff and tried treatment after treatment with no positive results. After a long battle a test was finally run which concluded that on top of the chrons Linda also has cytomegalus virus (CMV). She wasn't being treated properly the entire time. After more than a month in the hospital in isolation Linda got the good news that treatment was working and she would finally be able to go home. She was released and feeling quite well for about three weeks before it started to go downhill again, this time incredibly fast. A sigmoidoscopy with biopsy determined that the CMV was in fact still flared and more problems persisted. Now she also has beginning stages of renal failure. She has been rushed to Baylor hospital in Dallas and the only way to keep her alive is to have a colectomy which is the complete removal of the colon. She has to remain there for several months after surgery. In order to try and relieve the smallest amount of stress this Go Fund Me account is being set up to raise funds for expenses which she will be accruing while in Dallas. She has to rent a place to live in order to be near the doctors until she is cleared to come home. Your love and support will greatly impact her life as she is literally fighting for it.
