                                              Our Aims

·         To provide a service where provision has been lacking

·         To reduce stigma in society, raising awareness and recognition within communities enabling sufferers and their families to access care without fear or ridicule in times of crisis.

·         To reduce the impact of mental health trauma experienced by society providing investments in people for the future.

·         To reduce strain on NHS waiting times making help more accessible.

·         To establish links with organisations that can provide practical support such as housing and physical health needs.

·         To provide free trauma intervention and support as soon as possible. This will be free at the point of delivery provided by qualified therapists and people who have recovered from trauma

We will help service users in crisis or who are suffering from a traumatic incident past or present. PTSD is a mental health condition triggered by witnessing or experiencing a terrifying event such as:

·         Mental, physical or sexual abuse,

·         Relationship breakdown

·         Loss of employment

·         Criminal Acts

·         Experience of Medical Emergencies

·         House Fire

·         Home Intrusion

·         Seeking Asylum

·         Exposure to war zones

Sufferers are likely to experience addictions, homelessness, probation stretches, antisocial behaviour and poorer health.

We will heavily involve service users in the development of courses aimed at the general public to train people how to recognise signs of trauma and teach them how to assist people they encounter.
