Lincoln’s Ramp and Independance

The ramp got built, yay! Now the next hurdle to cross is getting a handicapped vehicle to transport Lincoln. Every penny raised will now be used to help them get a vehicle. The money will be transferred directly to Rachel and Stephen’s bank account from go fund me. Thank you for all your help!

I am a long time friend of the clouds, and On July 25, 2022 I had to make one of the worst calls ever to tell Rachel that Lincoln had been hit by a car on his way home from work. He spent the next 114 days in the hospital recovering and learning to deal with his new reality. The accident left Lincoln a C3 quadriplegic with an incomplete spinal cord injury. This basically means he broke his spinal cord at C3, leading to the quadriplegic diagnosis. The incomplete means there is still hope as the spinal cord wasn’t severed completely. This left him confined to a wheelchair. Now that he is home the family is finding more expenses, they need to cover to allow Lincoln to gain more independence. My goal for this go fund me is to raise enough money to install a ramp for his power chair (which is 500+ pounds) so they need a heavy-duty ramp installed. The quotes they were given for the ramp is about $7000. I made this go fund me for $10,000 because between being at Miami Valley hospital, and later Nationwide Children’s hospital for 114 days the travel expenses, as well as time off work took a toll financially. Both Rachel and Stephen missed a lot of work while Lincolns been recovering – Rachel eventually had to quit her job. Any excess money will go towards caring for Lincoln and allowing him to better gain independence and return to his new way of life. I know Rachel, Stephen and Lincoln are all so grateful for every donation. This is the only official GoFundMe for Lincoln.
