Most of you know us as Shane and Lauren but more importantly, we’re Lincoln’s parents. Recently, we noticed a small growth on Lincoln’s paw that seemed to appear overnight. After a visit to the vet, we learned that he has a soft tissue sarcoma that is weaving its way throughout his little left paw (and if you know Lincoln, you know how important his peets are). We were hoping this would be an easy toe amputation procedure, but it’s turning out to be so much more than that. In short, Lincoln will likely need his foot reconstructed, or a full front leg amputation. It’s heartbreaking to say, but Shane and I can’t do this on our own.

To know Lincoln is to love him and to be loved by him (and to be covered in kisses and hair, courtesy of the boy himself). We want to keep him around for as long as possible, not just for ourselves, but for everyone who has had the pleasure of knowing him.
