Help Lina beat cancer!

Recently our family has been devastated by the news of my sisters cancer diagnosis. Angelina who is only 28 years old was diagnosed with stage four, Diffuse Large B cell Lymphoma. This cancer is aggressive and has spread to four areas of her body including lungs, stomach, liver and pancreas.

Angelina was working and feeling moderately well up until Friday April, 28th when she started throwing up blood and went to the emergency room. They ran multiple tests and made the horrible discovery that no one wants to hear, especially at such a youthful age in life. It has been a rollercoaster of tests, new infections, and overall unstable health for Angelina since this diagnosis. After a week of being in the hospital she became very ill with Covid that she contracted in the hospital. Due to her highly weakened immune system she developed pneumonia soon after Covid and chemo treatment had to be delayed until she was somewhat better. To add to all of that, Angelina was born with a rare heart condition that is called Tetralogy of Fallot and has been careful all of her life to take good care of her heart and health. However, because of her rare heart condition and being in the fragile state that she is in, chemo treatment was initially delayed but thankfully she was able to start May 8th. Chemo has made her very ill and she needs around the clock care while she is battling for her life.

Angelina has been a trooper and her will to survive is strong. For the majority of May she has been hospitalized and her continued care is ongoing. She completed her first round of chemo and her hair is starting to fall out alongside with other harsh effects of chemo. Round two of chemo will start in early June if her health is stabilized enough.
