About 4 months ago I applied to a competition run by @Limpimusic that was to write a melody and lyrics over a track that they had produced.
2 weeks ago I was shortlisted for an interview, and a week ago I found out that I had won the entire competition including a full scholarship.
LIMPI is a 9 month music mentorship and collaboration course hosted by some of the top writers and producers in the world that have worked with the likes of Beyonce, Rihanna, Train, Bruno Mars and many more.
The aim of LIMPI is to gather 40 top prospect producers, writers and session musicians together, so they can collaborate on new and exciting projects, but also to guide them into a sustainable career in music.
It has been very exciting and humbling to have such an exciting opportunity presented to me, however because it’s been such a fast process I have not had the opportunity to save for the living costs I will need to sustain myself.
I do have savings that I will use, and am aiming to get a part time job in Lillehammer (the city I’m living in), however this will not be enough to cover what I will need.
I understand that with what the world has been through this year, many of you won’t be able to financially support me, and if so, then I’d love to receive another type of payment called ‘words of encouragement’.
