Limerick Gymnastics Club is located on the Dock Road, Limerick.
It is a fun and progressive club catering for members aged four to late teens in a fully equipped training space. We run recreational and competitive classes and also provide a leader program for our teen members. We are very proud to maintain a high retention rate keeping many young people, especially girls involved in sport. We have a very dedicated coaching team working with an amazing group of enthusiastic gymnasts who love the sport of gymnastics. During all three lockdowns, we have been keeping our gymnasts active and interested by providing workbooks, pre recorded classes and free live zoom classes. We cannot wait to get back in the gym.
Covid 19 has had a huge financial impact on the club. We were only operational for 17 weeks in 2020 and we have yet to open in 2021. Our membership and capacity for growth has been significantly been reduced due to the restrictions which are still in place for our sport.
Our club has invested heavily in its development over the last six years when we moved from a small school hall to a fulltime facility. To keep the club going in such a facility we still have to pay rent, utilities and insurance costs. Any income we receive when we return will go to the operating costs rather than purchasing equipment.
We really want to bounce back into the gym so we would like to give our members (current and past) and the wider community the opportunity to donate something. Many parents have asked could they pay for our current zoom sessions. Any donation no matter how big or small is greatly appreciated.
We had been planning to replace our old red track (seen in picture) with an updated version and all donations will be put towards the track for everyone to enjoy in the future. Thank you for your support and please share with past and current members.
