Limb saving surgery for Mando!
My daughter recently adopted a rescue pup from Houston, Texas, she proudly named Mando. He had been abandoned outside a farm and left with an untreated snake bite to his muzzle. He was only 2 months old. They are not sure if he suffered further abuse but he's had a limp to his front left leg. X-rays show the growth plate around the radius stopped growing. They are lucky to have caught it in time before the leg became too deformed or needed to be removed.
The surgery is called Left Distal Ulnar Ostectomy and is scheduled for Tuesday, August 24th at 8am with OREV Specialty Vet Care. The procedure is limb saving, and he will grow naturally to his healthy size, limp free! However, the surgery is not cheap. We ask for any financial support our friends and family are willing to spare. If you are unable to, no worries there, please share this post for it can only help the puppy cause! All proceeds go to surgery costs and any post-op care!
