I am currently a senior at Bishop Noll Institute and have been chosen to represent my school and community at the 2017 Presidential Inauguration Leadership Summit. This prestigious Summit will take place next January in Washington, DC, inspired by the inauguration and the issues that face next generation leaders.
During this Summit I will have the opportunity to witness the 58th Presidential Inauguration and listen to inspirational speakers such as Malala Yousafzai. I will participate in workshops, seminar discussions, and presentations that are designed to broaden my perspective on local, national, and global issues facing my generation. This will be a powerful experience, enabling me to interact with respected professionals in various fields while building relationships with students who might someday be my future colleagues. Attending this program will enable me to further my interest in the field of medicine and reach my career goals of becoming a leader in the medical field.
I maintain a 4.23 GPA, am involved in Bishop Nolls yearbook staff, cheerleading team, National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, and Multicultural Club. I am a Lake County Young Democrat, a member of The Society of Torch & Laurel,
am a student worker through Regional Federal Credit Union, and volunteer at Community Hospital over the summer. I am currently an Indiana ambassador for the National Society of High School School.
This prestigious Summit is only offered to a select few from past envision programs. I participated in Envisions National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine last summer where I was able to participate in hands-on medical activities and true-to-life medical simulations created by top medical training professionals. Through this program I was able to receive college credit from George Mason University. This summer I travelled to Boston, Massachusetts where I participated in The Congress of Future Medical Leaders and Physicians. At the closing of this program I achieved an award for excellence. Participating in programs such as these will help me establish a connection with others throughout the country that have the same ambition and goals that I have.
