On Tuesday 11/30/21 Lily suffered an MCA Stroke ( Middle Cerebral Artery). I can go into great detail of the “what happened” , BUT in true Lily fashion I’d like to FOCUS on what’s to come and how do we get there . Most importantly she SURVIVED ! , and is still very much herself … it shines through more and more every passing hour . Our family has pulled close and held each other up , and we know that was possible from all that Lily has taught us about loving and living in addition to all the prayer warriors out there .

Now REAL TALK !

So far I believe she has had 3 MRI , 2 echo cardio etc … as I’m sure most of you are aware THOSE TEST ARE $$$$! Lily and her husband john will be responsible for these sudden expenses , on top of all that comes with recovering from a stroke .

She is going to need extensive therapy , which again are extreme expenses that they weren’t prepared for . These appointments will be CRUCIAL to Lily’s journey back to her vibrancy .

Any assistance provided will go towards her recovery , rehabilitation and support at home .

UPDATE ON MY MOM 12/5

My brother was a great help today and was with her all day in her new rehabilitation center. She saw many doctors and therapists and they all say her recovery progress to this point is simply a miracle and not typical in anyway. She still has a journey of work to do but is speaking and aware and can hold a conversation. They say with some work her slowed responses and short term memory loss will improve. I joked with her , that her new name is Dory !

I’m hoping to do a video with her during the week next week I’m just letting her get used to her surroundings and absorb all of the love and support she is receiving. I just want to show the deepest gratitude to everyone that has put her in their prayers and thoughts in addition to donating to her recovery cost. Without this high vibe tribe I know my mom would not be doing as well as she is?
