Lily’s Joshua Wilderness Institute Fund

As you may have heard, I have been accepted to the Joshua Wilderness Institute for the 2020-21 year. This is a year-long discipleship program located in the Sequoia National Forest at Hume Lake Christian Camps. I will be living on campus there, taking classes, learning from different speakers, and working in all of the different departments of camp. I am hoping to learn more about my faith and the Bible, and to apply what I’m learning to my life.
One of the key ways we’ll be applying things in life is through our ministry trips. We take six trips throughout the year, three domestic, and three foreign. We do work projects in Mexico and Hartland Christian Camps, experience different cultures in Mexico and Inner-City LA, learn to share our faith with confidence on our LA trip, and work alongside missionaries in the field in the Dominican Republic. Our final trip is a two-week hiking and study tour of Israel, that brings together everything we’ve been learning in the Bible during the year.
This incredible program costs $17,500 out of pocket for the year, including all of my classes, room and board, and trips. Would you consider helping me get there? My family and I are confident that we are able to contribute $12,000, and I am looking to fundraise $5,000. I need to have the first $5,000 payment in by July 1.
