Lily has decided that she loves to eat cat toys! Unfortunately, this has landed her in the emergency room for a second surgery. This time is much worse than the last. The most recent cat toy she swallowed (a little fish) made a hole in her bowels, which caused the contents to start spilling into her abdomen. She is at BluePearl Pet Hospital in Lakewood after being transferred from Capital Pet Urgent Care. She is already out of surgery, and they said she is doing great! She needed to have a section of her intestines removed, a drain to remove the fluid build up, and a feeding tube inserted because she is not interested in eating on her own.
