Our daughter Lily was born prematurely at 29 weeks at 2 pounds 12 ounces in 2021. Since her infancy, she has faced a lengthy NICU stay, developmental hurdles, and has been greatly impacted by limitations due to her level 2 autism and ADHD diagnosis. Now at 4 years old, we (and her doctors) feel a service dog would be a wonderful fit for Lily to gain independence, assist with mobility (Lily has been in physical therapy for 3 years learning to get her gross motor skills up to speed), help comfort and redirect with harmful stimming behaviors, alerting us of possible meltdowns forming, provide deep pressure therapy to assist with focus or calming after a meltdown, and tracking for worst case scenario if she were to ever disappear.
If you’re able to donate even the smallest bit helps towards our goal! We recognize the amount asked to fundraise is high, but we are hopeful in giving this a shot perhaps we can get there. Sharing this within your community is also greatly appreciated if a donation is not within means.
