Lily-Anne’s Legacy Support for Bereaved Parents

Our Beautiful 14month old Daughter Lily-Anne passed away unexpectedly in her sleep 4 weeks ago, we still have no answers and wont for another 12 months, it has been the worst 4 weeks of our lives.

During this time I have discovered our local hospital Kings Mill Mansfield offers no bereavement support for any child that passes over the age of 4 weeks, no counselling no dedicated nurses, not even a dedicated room.

We sat with our daughter in a small room at the back of A&E right next to childrens A&E Very trigging given what had just happened an hour ago and exposed too the world in a time we just wanted to hide away.

You guessed it “lack of funding” says Sherwood Forest Hospitals Trust!

And if it wasn’t for our A&E Nurse Emma and Chaplin Rodney who have come in on their days off/before and after 12 hour shifts, we wouldn’t have even had the chance the visit our baby girl at the hospital morgue (which again was an unsuitable room).

I want and need to make a change to this in Lily-Anne’s honour so that no parent has to go through what is the worst time of their lives alone, unsupported and without the care and attention their lost one should receive!

I will be Fund raising for a Bereavement Support Team & Bereavement Suite at Kings Mill Hospital!

I know it takes a lot too change things within the NHS but I'm hoping the power of a mothers love and the support from others can make these changes!

I have done some research and these costs can range anywhere between £30K-£250K

I am hoping to raise a substantial amount too put towards too the Trust to start making these changes within the Hospital.

Should these changes not be able to be made all money raised will go too 4Louis Charity whom provide cuddle cots, cuddle mats & memory boxes too Hospitals too support bereaved parents.

From one mummy too another please hug your babies & close ones extra tight for me tonight.
