Lily Mae Foundation, in memory of Louis B Shannon

Donation protected
On July 9th 2021 our baby, Louis Benjamin Shannon, was born into this world asleep.
The Lily Mae Foundation was the charity that allowed us to save memories of Louis, to have imprints of his hands and feet, to have keepsakes, things we never would have thought of. In a very sad time they were there to guide us.

In January 2022 I signed up to run the Kerry Ultra 100km marathon. Tomorrow I start my run at 9pm and run through the night, through The Kerry Way, hoping to arrive home to Killarney on Saturday around Lunchtime.

I signed up to do the run to set a goal and challenge for myself in a time where I needed it most.

I wanted to do something to give back to the wonderful charity set up for grieving parents like us. I have chosen to run on behalf of The Lily Mae Foundation and to raise whatever funds I can to help with their Memory Boxes, boxes that mean the absolute world to parents in. A time when their world has shattered to pieces, they help you pick them up and put them back together
These boxes and the people that put them together will never understand their meaning and how we and other parents that unfortunately have to go through baby loss appreciate them.

I know it’s late notice to set this up but I thought if someone even donated €5 it’s better than nothing.

Louis Benjamin Shannon was so
loved and so wanted, and I know he will be the one to get me through this lifetime achievement.

Thank You,
Liam
