Help Lily Jonas Study Abroad in Costa Rica

Anyone fortunate enough to know Lily knows she has a passion for the welfare and care of animals...a passion that has led to her desire of becoming a traveling veterinarian! Through her education as a student at Washington State University, an amazing opportunity has presented itself to further her knowledge in this field by studying abroad in Costa Rica!

Lily has shown her dedication to her career goal of becoming a veterinarian throughout her life. By volunteering at a shelter, attending WSU as a full-time student, and her selfless ability to lend a hand in her community, she demonstrates dedication in everything she does. Lily's dream is to become a traveling veterinarian where she can help animals in different communities throughout the world. An opportunity arose through WSU to take a faculty-led study abroad class to Costa Rica this summer focused on animal welfare and care, something Lily couldn't pass up! This trip includes exploring the national parks of the lush tropical landscape of Central America, diving into agricultural livestock care and production, and learning from veterinary hospitals. With the opportunity to learn about veterinary medicine and the biological systems of Costa Rica in a hands-on immersion program, Lily has found her next step toward achieving her career goals. This opportunity would allow her to apply the knowledge and character she has developed in a new, challenging setting where collaboration and curiosity pave the way for new understanding, both professionally and personally.

In true Lily fashion, she has already worked to earn enough funds to pay for the entire tuition portion of this trip! The remaining $2500 is needed to fulfill this opportunity of a lifetime! Your donations will go toward airfare ($1500), food ($500), and other miscellaneous costs that come with an immersive experience in another country such as this ($500).
