The day after my brother Henry was born he stopped breathing. It turned out he had had a stroke at birth. He was put into a coma and spent a few days in intensive care on a breathing machine. Everyone was very worried about him and what life would hold. When he came out of hospital my parents were very worried that he would stop breathing again. NARA came to the rescue. They are 'the breathing charity' that provides medical equipment, support and care to people with breathing conditions, giving them a better quality of life. They lent us a breathing monitor that Henry wore until he was 6 months old. It helped everyone worry a lot less and let us get on with getting to know Henry.

Fast forward ... and Henry is a happy, healthy, energetic (albeit a little mad!) 10 year old! You would not know that anything like that happened when he was a baby. I am so grateful he is ok.

I wanted to help raise money for NARA as a thanks for what they did for us. I am giving up cake, sweets and chocolate for 4 months and it is absolute torture!!

I would love to raise enough money to buy a breathing monitor and probe like Henry used.... please help me stay motivated in my quest and help me achieve this dream by donating and making a real difference.
