Lily Has Cancer, Needs Urgent Surgery
Donation protected

Lily is our special girl.
She has touched millions of people around the world - helping us launch The Original Dog Treat Truck Company, going viral on TikTok & Instagram / getting published for her treat delivery skills within the last year alone in reputable publications such as The New York Post, ABC, Buzzfeed and more. She has traveled the USA from coast to coast and many places in between, meeting people, hanging with family, accompanying me on business trips, splashing in the waves at beaches like the fearless water dog she truly is inside.
Lily means everything to us. She is a prime reason me and my wife met and fell in love in San Francisco and she has made so many doggy and human friends in her 9 years of existence - even converting many, many non-dog lovers into the dog obsessed - all because and she is such a patient, kind, attentive, loving, smart, cute, sneaky, bright & special girl.
And suddenly - SO suddenly - we find out she has rapidly a developing abdominal cancer mass and does not have long to live.
On November 10th she started taking longer to pee. On November 18th she started peeing constantly and for minutes at a time.
When we took her in to the vet that same day they found a HUGE tumor in her abdomen that they initially thought was inoperable.
They had us take her to a local pet hospital where they held her overnight, did an ultrasound and a CT scan and said they would be willing to risk surgery.

If they hadn't agreed to perform this risky surgery, Lily may not have had a chance to make it past the month..
They will perform surgery on Monday November 22nd. The outcome is not obviously assured, but it's her best chance to survive into 2022.
Tanya & I are having our first son born around January 17th and we really want him to be able to meet Lily and know her for whatever time she has left.
Obviously this has caused us immediate financial hardship given the timing - the overnight stay and tests alone, which we've already paid out of pocket, are costing over $4000 & the medical fees when all is said and done will be far greater than $9000 - but the most urgent need is for us to raise around $5000 BEFORE Monday's surgery.
This is because the pet hospital requires payment IN FULL *before* they will perform the Monday's crucial surgery.
So if we can't raise those funds by Monday... they may delay or decide not to perform the surgery & every moment of delay lessens the chances of extending her life.
Full disclosure... we don't have money for basic things at the moment after shelling out for all that, and I'm a couple weeks out from my next paycheck. We have pet insurance, but they've already manipulated our plan into adding pre-existing conditions for really crazy reasons, so I honestly don't expect to be reimbursed whatever for this, and even if they did, it would be only a small portion of the costs given their yearly-care cost limits being so low. They certainly wouldn't reimburse anything in time for Monday morning's surgery.
Sorry to be shameless and ask for help but, well, we need it.

Thank you for caring about Lily and considering helping us out. It means the world to us at this delicate time in our lives.
