In Loving Memory of Lily Esme Bowes
On October 4th, the Bowes family — Jason, Anna, and their daughter Alice — experienced the heartbreaking loss of their precious daughter and sister, Lily Esme Bowes, born silently into this world. Though her time was brief, Lily’s presence has left a deep and lasting mark on the hearts of all who love her.
In this time of profound grief, we are reaching out to offer support to the Bowes family as they navigate the unimaginable. No family should have to face this kind of loss — and certainly not with the added pressure of returning to work or figuring out how to manage life’s demands while grieving.
This is intended to give Jason, Anna, and Alice the time and space they need to begin healing — together. No amount of finance or words can take away the pain of losing Lily, but we hope we can at least relieve a bit of pressure while they walk this grief journey.
Your generous contributions will help:
Provide time away from work so the family can grieve and support each other without financial strain.
Delay the start of Jason’s new job, which was to begin shortly after Thanksgiving, allowing him to remain with his family during this critical time.
Cover counselling and other supportive services for the entire family as they process their loss and begin the long journey of healing.
This support will also help cover unexpected funeral and memorial expenses, allowing the Bowes family to focus on grieving and healing.
Lily Esme may not have had the chance to grow up alongside her sister, but she will always be a part of their story — remembered with love and held in their hearts forever.
The grief the Bowes family is enduring is profound—at times, it feels unbearable. In the difficult days and months ahead, they will need their community to help carry them through. Your support, whether through donations, kind words, or simply holding them in your thoughts, means more than words can express.Thank you for walking with them during this incredibly difficult time.
Jason and Anna have lovingly written an obituary to honour Lily’s life—a reflection of how deeply she is loved and how profoundly she will be missed. You can read it here:
