LilyBug has recently been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia a rare form of cancer that 20% of children get also known as AML. With this recent diagnosis, Lily has already undergone so many invasive treatments including 4 blood transfusions, lumbar punctures weekly, pic lines, catheters, and different IVs, and many MRIs and CTs. Lily also just spent her 10th birthday in the hospital. Lily has an awesome team of doctors, nurses, and oncologists working hard to carry out her plan of care and has now been started on a new chemo medication that will make her sick and cause her to lose her beautiful hair. Even through all these storms, Lily has managed to keep a smile on her beautiful face and stay in great spirits by laughing and even joking with all of the doctors and nurses who love her and enjoy her as their patient. The doctors have informed Joshua and Krystal to prepare themselves for a Bone Marrow Transplant along with other chemo treatments that will not be covered. Yes, they have insurance but not everything is covered. Joshua recently relocated back to Southern California and has recently started a new job, Krystal had a new job and had to resign to be with Lily. Joshua has taken time off to be there with Lily but has now gone back to work and makes the 40 min drive to and from the house and to the hospital every day.
This is where YOU ALL come in, TOGETHER we are stronger, and this precious family NEEDS YOUR help to take some of the financial burdens off them and to allow them to feel comfortable knowing when the time comes the finances are there for the treatments.
