Lily the Cat's Amputation

Donation protected
Meet Lily the 13 year old Maine Coon kitty- she loved being brushed, snuggles, and purring constantly.

Lily has had a nerve-dead front leg for almost ten years.

In recent years the leg developed an open wound under the care of her previous owner.

We found her after she had gotten out of the previous owner's yard for four days- the wound had exposed bone, she had fleas on her face, and more than a summers worth of flea dirt under matted fur.
We rushed her to the emergency vet for a bandage (they referred us elsewhere for surgery), pain meds, and antibiotics.

Now she's being groomed twice daily and regaining body weight with appropriate canned kitten food and kitten milk.

Her leg needs to be amputated.

We're rehabilitating her until her red blood cells are healthy enough for surgery. This will take about 6 weeks.

So we're doing this for her instead of shocking her with a shelter or foster home, but we need your help.

Please, please, please donate to help sweet Lily get the care she needs.

Every dollar helps and we appreciate you all greatly.

Thank you.

Spread love and don't forget to smile.
