Lilly will be leaving the first week of July to Pennsylvania. She will be seeing a specialist for Parry Romberg Syndrome (PRS) and Scleroderma. Her father as well as myself has very limited income and I have created this to assist him when he takes our daughter to her treatment.  (Plane tickets, food, hotel, and maybe a trip to the local zoo while they are there)  Lilly has been receiving treatment for almost 4 years at the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital and so little is  still known about her disease that seeing a specialist is extremely important for the next stages of her treatment. At this time Lilly is already experiencing juvenile arthritis, and muscle deterioration on the left side of her face.  For the last 3 almost 4 years Lilly has endured so much and over came alot of obstacles. She has been through many studies been poked and prodded more than the normal child should ever have to experience on top of her infusion treatments monthly which require her to receive her treatments through an IV.  She handles everything so well that it makes me feel like she is blessed even though she has to go through so much it never brings her down. She is literally the strongest kind hearted little girl I know. This trip is very important to her in finding answers she already at 9 years old is asking how this will effect her face, her brain and her over all development. This disease without the right treatment is very progressive and very damaging if not treated correctly, all of her treatment is "experimental", and we just want to find a solution for her as well as others that suffer from this disfiguring disease.
