Hi everyone. I am a volunteer with a Romanian dog rescue. If Lilly’s target can be reached. I will shave my hair. This amazing girl is worth it and she deserves to have an amazing and happy life that cancer and some monster tried to Rob her off. If target is achieved. My hair will be donated to the little princess trust.
Lilly has been in foster care now for a few months.
Lilly was was found on the streets in Romania in a devastating condition. She had just about given up mentally and physically. Lilly is only around 3 years old herself but she has definitely had multiple litters in her past. Her skin was horrendous as a result of abuse and neglect, she had basically lost all hair from her undercarriage. She was sore, inflamed and broken and exhausted. It is most likely Lilly had been confined somewhere or chained up and used for breeding. Fast forward on to when she was able to travel. Lilly could never have progressed in a shelter environment outdoors, no matter what, she would never have made it through winter.
Lilly has had a few months of constant vet appointments. Daily medicated baths, steroids, antibiotics, ear treatments for ear infections. Test after test of bloods and skin etc. she has done absolutely incredible and is thriving. Her hair is grown back nicely and she is one of the happiest girls on the planet.
BUT… Lilly had a huge mammary mass and a smaller one. She had these successfully removed and the results came back that it was indeed a very nasty high graded cancerous tumour. Very rare for a girl so young. Lilly’s ex rays caused a bit of concern previously on her lungs. The lungs appear to resemble that of an older dog, not the baby that she is. Lilly adores absolutely everyone and everything, regardless of her past experiences. She is so grateful just to be feeling good and feeling loved and safe and belonging, Although Lilly has had her mammary lumps removed successfully and surrounding tissue is clear. We are not willing to wait and see if the cancer has actually spread. We have our Lilly booked in with a specialist where she will spend the day being checked from head to toe via CT scanning. Her lung issue may not be cancer but we are not waisting any time on finding out. Which ever way, we can then come up with a plan for Lilly and what she needs next. This sweet baby girl has endured so much in her past but her desire for life is mind blowing. Lilly’s appointment is 29th January. The estimate is £1800. We need to give her every chance possible at helper her reach the life she so desperately craves and more than deserves. Any donation no matter how little, is a big help and support to Lilly and the rescue. I am Lilly’s foster mum, I love this girl with all my heart and will do everything within my power to make sure Lilly has everything possible. What ever happens. Lilly will always have a loving home and be treated like the princess and loving soul she is.. she is so brave, so resilient and is an inspiration. She has stolen so many hearts already. I will keep everyone updated every step of Lilly’s journey
