Hi there, I’m Lilly!

I’m a 9-year-old Dachshund with a heart full of love and a nose for adventure. I’ve spent my life kayaking with my dads, going on fishing trips (I’m a great co-captain!), and making new friends everywhere I go—human and furry alike. Whether it’s chasing a sunbeam across the living room or cuddling up after a long day outside, I’ve always loved life to the fullest.

But recently, my tail stopped wagging as high.

After a scary fall, I couldn’t move like I used to. My legs weren’t listening to me, and I was in a lot of pain. My dads rushed me to the emergency room, and after lots of poking and prodding, the kind doctors said I had something called IVDD—Intervertebral Disc Disease. They told us I needed emergency surgery right away to give me the best chance at walking again… and living the adventurous life I love.

The surgery went well (yay me!), and now I’m on the long road to recovery. But even though I’m wagging my tail a little more every day, the cost of saving my life was very big—$8,505.74 to be exact. My dads took out a $6,500 loan and used a credit card to cover the remaining $2,005.74, but that’s a lot for them to carry on their own.

That’s why I’m here, with my floppy ears and hopeful eyes, asking for a little help. Every dollar you give helps ease the burden on my dads so they can focus on helping me heal instead of worrying about the bills.

If you’ve ever loved a dog, you know we’d do anything for our people. And now, we’re just hoping some kind-hearted people might be able to do a little something for me too.
