(Fatal) Our little has Balamuthia Mandrillaris Encephalitis. Balamuthia is a free living heterotrophic amoeba found in soil. This organism can cause a rare and usually fatal granulomatous amebic encephalitis. Our baby girl has a 5% chance of coming home and if she does make it she will have serious neurological and physical disabilities. There have only been 200 reported cases world wide and of the 200 94 were from the US. We ask that you continues prayers for her! #littlestrong
